The best job boards for contract jobs

There are thousands of job boards and candidates may use one or many depending on what they are familiar with or just looking up on the Internet. Often the top job boards aren't necessarily the right job boards-especially for contract jobs at top companies.

Best job board to upload your resume- www.monster.com . The old guard has remained a perrenial favorite for job seekers to post their resume and for recruiters to find contract candidates. The site works great for all kinds of skills from marketing, IT to customer service. The resume database is probably the most subscribed database so expect candidates to be talking to multiple recruiters. The job listing on Monster suck though. It is a waste of time advertising here or applying to jobs posted there. We don't have metrics but we've never heard of anyone ever finding a job applying through a job there. Never heard of a recruiter getting great canddiates from their job postings either

Best job board for IT contract jobs- www.dice.com . Again, one of the oldest job boards is still the most reliable for IT contract jobs. The job lisitngs are pretty current and you may actually hear back from the recruiter.  A lot of recruiters even put out their phone numbers and emails in the job post making it easy to reach them.

Best job board for diverse candidates- www.ziprecruiter.com. While monster and dice overlap quite a bit, Zip has a unique model that lets them post their jobs onto multiple job boards and gets candidates from lots of different niche sites. If monster and dice are not cutting it for you, you may want to check out ziprecruiter.

Best site to find the right staffing agency. www.oncontracting.com. while our site doesnt list jobs on our own, we help you distinguish between good and bad staffing agencies.
