OnContracting goes to San Francisco

OnContracting was in "demo" mode for the last few weeks. We were invited to present at the 'The Founder Showcase'- a quarterly startup pitch and networking event that gathers over technology CEOs, investors, and seed-stage companies from across the globe to hear talks from leading CEOs, and help launch a promising startup to greatness.

The 12th Founder Showcase took place on Wednesday, November 7th at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco, with over 600 attendees-  featuring 8 promising seed-stage companies, as well as talks by David Sacks (Founder & CEO of Yammer), and Justin Moore (Founder & CEO of Axcient).

The presentation was great including some 1:1 rehearsals with Adeo Ressi which are always awesome because he gets and articulates the gist of what you are trying to say so much better than you even though he's just heard it (makes you feel silly). We got some tough questions and some great feedback from a great set of investors - VCs such as David Hornik of August Capital and Katherine Barr at Mohr Davidow Ventures. Also got some press exposure through pandodaily  http://pandodaily.com/2012/11/12/spikes-wins-founders-showcase-pitch-competition/ . Didn't raise money, not that we expected to, but a great start and a great experience.

San Francisco is so much fun and I'm so envious of the weather. It was sunny and 70 deg in Nov. Also got to try out Amber, the 'best' Indian restaurant in San Francisco and Udupi Palace on Valencia for their famous dosas. With my nephew Adi (at Twin Peak), who's studying at Berkeley and was a volunteer ground soldier for OnContracting in San Francisco. Thanks to Tanmay Kar, Founder of Cheapesto for being such a gracious host.
