Everything about the job is good. I enjoyed my time there hugely. Management was always nice and helpful and it’s a cheery place to work.
Work is at a remarkably fast pace. No job security, mostly temporary positions but experience is interesting.
As contractor, your work life balance is good. Complete your hours and you are done for the day. This is great for work life balance. If you are a permanent employee then this is not the case.
As a contractor it’s hard to go into the company and then move up your position in the company. As they hire you as a contractor so gaining a position in the company is challenging because they know that you are there for a short time.
As a contractor, you get no benefits. The ambiance as a contractor is competitive and management is biased. However, there is petite micromanagement, which gives you flexibility with scheduling. Working at Amazon as a contractor is an acceptable experience.
Atmosphere is competitive, a good place to work, flexible schedule and breaks are nice. For a contractor the work life balance is fair.
Work was fun to do and was speedy, the managers were good and communicating with them was simple. Lot of experienced was gained during work.
Super smart and motivated coworkers Less office politics- all work no talk Lot of work which results in a great learning opportunities. Squeeze learning 3 years worth of Microsoft learning in 1 year in Amazon Poor work/life balance. It is a great company to be in when you are right out of school and can spend a lot of extra time Better rates than Microsoft Better location than Microsoft. South Lake Union rocks- food, things to do, transport
