Job Description/ Responsibilities/ Day to Day Activities:

• Primary responsibilities include requirement solicitation, assessing business rules; performing source to target data mapping; designing, reviewing, implementing and optimizing ETL processes using SAP Data Services.
• This role will necessitate knowledge of the Financial data marts (GL, AP, AR, FA, PO) of the RapidDecisions (RapidMart) product suite; review development and test specifications; performing data analysis; providing development support for existing systems; troubleshooting data and/or system issues; building/extending toolsets; creating/maintaining batch jobs; creating systems documentation; Provide data analysis and identify data related issues, as needed.
• General Responsibilities:
• Develop components of databases, data schema, data storage, data queries, data transformations, and data warehousing applications.
• Drive technical direction for small to mid-sized projects.
• Assess business rules and collaborate internally, and with business owners to understand technical requirements and implement analytical and technical solutions.
• Provide alternative solutions to a given problem. Contribute to advancing the teams design methodology and quality programming practices.
• Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur; and consistently follow through on details and drive issues to closure.
• Write documentation and communicate database design.
• Collaborate with program management and testing peers in the development of assigned components.
• Participate in, and provides input to, requirements definition. Actively participate in group technology reviews to critique work of self and others.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

• Experience with at least 3 full life cycle implementations using the Rapid Data Mart or Rapid Decisions product suite.
• General understanding of Oracle Financial (GL, AP, AR, FA, PO) modules.
• Solid experience with SAP DataServices, Business Objects, SQLServer, DB2 technologies.
• Knowledge of industry best practices for SAP Rapid Data Mart or RapidDecisions Datamart implementations.
• Strong background in Data Warehousing environment.
• Database development in an MPP DW environment is a must have with an eye for tuning and performance.
• Development background should include experience in Informatica Power center version 8.5.1, but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret data schemas, with emphasis on DB2 implementations.
• Proven ability to create and maintain online and printed documentation.
• Proven ability to work cross functionally to deliver appropriate resolution of technical, procedural, and operational issues.
• Must have strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to drive investigations to completion and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Must be flexible and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Experience and Education Guidelines:

• MS/BS degree in a computer science field or related discipline.
• 10+ years of Solid experience with SAP Data Services toolset and is required.
• Experience in large data warehouse implementations is a must.

Core Competencies:

• Strong skills in Rapid Decisions product suite and SAP Data Services product suite
• Experience with RDBMS, ETL and Business Intelligence Tools.
• Excellent organizational, communication and technical skills.
• Strong skills in DB2 stored procedures, views, etc. preferred. Strong experience with TeraData or Netezza also viable.
