Working as a contractor at Hewlett through a shady Indian staffing agency out of New Jersey- I haven't even met anyone from the company- but so far my paycheck has been coming through. My contract will be over soon. It was an OK experience but not something I would recommend for a long term career option. HP used to be an elite company. Now its just another commodity hadware company that is sinking and the sings are everywhere. People know it, but like a frog, no one wants to jump out of the boiling water.possibly because there are no better jobs.
Just another contract gig- HP, Dell whoever man.. work for 12 months- take a break - drive me some uber- back to the grind doing technical support- Did you turn off the Router and unplug the power switch!! recognize me? Easy paycheck, easy work. HP Houston TX babey
I worked as a software tester for Hewlett Packard in Boise,Id. The work was OK, the pay was lower, but offered some good experience and a brand name on my resume - so I'd recommend this as a stepping stone for your career. Def not a long term option.
Working as contractor for HP is dehumanizing. If you wondered why and how people can be cruel to one another- this is the place to see it. Full-time employees look down upon contractors like we are a burden. We might do all the work and they get to take the creidt. Most of their time is spent politicking and kissing ass and justifying their lame ass job. I hope this company folds soon.
HP is a great client to work for. Good pay, remote work, easy going boss, cool customers- the ideal remote contractor job for those that like this kind of gig.
