Good clients to work for
Good Work- strong
pays more than other consulting companies..
Revel Consulting is just another staffing company in the guise of a Consulting company.
I have been working with Revel for the past 3 months. They are professional and have exceed my expectations- way better than most staffing companies I've dealt with.
I joined Revel Consulting because it was very near to my home. With two school going kids, a good work-life balance is very essential for me and my job allows me to have that. Plus I get to work with some of the best and smartest people I have met for a long time. The projects I have been part of are all challenging and we don’t have to report every single thing to management while we are doing our job. This I think is the best part of working here; we feel responsible for the client as a whole and so always look forward for their best interest.
I love to work in an environment where all I have to concentrate on is my job and not what kind of politics the office bosses are playing. It was one of the reason why I left my previous job to start the new one with Revel Consulting. So far, I am very happy to have the perfect work environment; the Pure Model the company follows encourage consultants to do just their work and nothing else. The pay is decent although the medical benefit can be a bit better. Also it won’t be bad to have some more benefits like PTO, parental leave or sabbatical. Overall, I am very happy with my job and given the present expansion of the company, very positive about my future here.
I joined Revel Consulting nearly 5 years ago and still in love with the company. Revel has come a long way in recent years, but have not forgotten their core values and that is encouraging employees to be career driven. They allow us to set the pace at which we like to progress in our career and help us along the way. No matter at which post we work, we are encouraged to share our thoughts regarding a project. You can go easily higher in the company as it does not have complex management levels.
As an associate in Revel Consulting, I am encouraged not only to be entrepreneurial in my outlook but also develop my passion for non-work related issues. Through the Sustainable Giving Campaign, many of us are involved with the local community. When I pitched my idea, I was not very sure whether it will be accepted or not for it was not a client work; but to my surprise senior management agreed to it and periodically enquired about the progress as well. And this happened when I was just 2 years into the job, practically a new hire! That is the why this company is fast emerging as a serious player. All they have to do is keep this momentum alive and as for benefits, try to better them especially the 401 (k).
In the last few years, Revel Consulting has not only expanded their client base, but taken into account the reasons why employees were leaving them. So thank god, they have bettered their comprehensive medical benefit as well as 401 (k) though it has no match. It is one of the reasons why attrition rates for the company has become so low.
Revel Consulting has great potential to become a great strategy player and so I am very happy to be part of this company. It is trying hard for not only getting new clients but also improving our R&D and product management. The best part of working here is that, as associates we are encouraged to work free of bureaucracy. To go up in the company, it is not necessary that you have to have specific industry qualification; if you have the courage to take risk in moving to a field that is not your typical background, then you may get internal promotion.
I love my work in Revel Consulting because of the variety of work we do. Yes we are a small company but we are very dedicated to our job. The reason is, we all feel as part-owner of the company because that is how upper management does their job. They make sure we all feel responsible for the project we are doing but not at the cost of our individuality. We are encouraged to think on our feet and keep the client’s interest first, even if it means a little loss for us. Of course being small, it means many of us have to multi-task. That is why I have seen many leave the company for they could not handle the pressure. Also the company is little behind when it comes to training and we have to learn new skill sets on our own.
If you are not self-motivated and serious about your career goal, Revel Consulting can be a poor choice for you. But if those two are your main concern, then Revel is the place to work. The company’s motto is to encourage its employees to take their career into their own hand. The people who work here are highly energetic individuals with great work ethics. Since it is a growing company, you have a great chance of ending your career in a very high post, if you stick with them.
It has been 3 years since I joined Revel Consulting and I love each day of work here. Sure the company is small and there are limitations like very little training for someone new and with little-experience; but it has the best work environment. It sometimes feels like an extended family gathering; with helpful seniors and highly qualified professionals. The jobs are varies and the company is growing in a rapid speed.
Revel consulting is different from other consulting firms I have worked with because they don’t focus on staff or tech consultation but business consultation, which I think is an area that has vast potential to grow as very few companies focus on it. That is what attracted me to join them in a senior management position as I think this company will soon emerge as a national player.
Those who want to become entrepreneurs in their later life, will get a great boost if they join Revel Consulting first. Apart from getting exposure to various kinds of projects from Fortune 500 companies, the plus point of working in this company is that, the training they provide helps you to become a more entrepreneurial in life than being just a hard working employee. Detractors may say that you have to do more non-core work here than anywhere else; but those non-core work experience come in handy when you are thinking about going on your own.
Grew too fast and started being careless with their leadership.
