Awesome place
I am working at Atos IT for the last one year, out here company give good benefits & you can also work from home. A good work life balance.
At Atos/Siemens for the last 5 yrs. I find them very professional, healthy work environment & a good work life balance. They also have some good reward & recognition schemes to keep their employees motivated & happy.
If you don’t like to work hard, don’t come to Atos. I have seen many people burn out because they can’t handle the extra workload. The pay is decent and most of all, I love my job because of all the learning opportunities that we have.
I have been working for long with Atos, even before they were taken over by Siemens. The work is challenging and you get exposed to lot of new technology which is a great way to boost your career. I also had a chance to work at other international branches in Europe and India which was great for me as I love to travel. In all my postings, one thing I realized is that, the work environment of Atos differed vastly from one location to another. Some locations, especially those in Northern part of the country, are very cozy and you feel like working in a family owned business. The European branches are best to work in, both in term of benefits and Salary. This disparity can be harmful in the long run; and the so the company needs to formulate a way to make sure each location works at least the same way in the core areas.
I work in mid-level management position with Atos and have given some of the best years of my work life to them. In the years, I have learnt some of the best technologies in the field as soon as it emerged and had the luck of working with some great colleagues and co-workers. But is the total lack of appreciation from the management that is making me disillusioned about my job for some years now. There is no pay for the extra hours I put in and the pay rise over the year has been slow. They just don’t seem to value their worker!
Atos is a great first job for fresh graduates. You will have a chance to learn how to handle clients who don’t know what they want as well as latest technologies of the field. You will love the fact that you can have flexible hours but soon you will learn how to work nearly 50 to 60 hours a week and how to get over your disappointments regarding no recognition for hard work. Most of all, you will learn how to survive with a salary that is even below minimum industry standard.
I joined Atos for about 4 years ago, and since then enjoyed each day of my work here. The technologies employed by the companies are all cutting edge which means I learn a new technology the moment it is in the market. The morale of the company is also very good and I loved the only Olympics that I participated in. Yes it is true that sometime I put in crazy hours for the job, disturbing my work-life balance, but when I finish my challenging new work, it seems so worth it. Of course, the feeling could have been all the more better if the company recognized it; the pay is not that high and more than pay, it is the lack of any kind of recognition that rankles me from time to time.
This is my first time with Atos as contract worker and so far, loving the job. I have the flexibility of working from home, which works great for a new mom like me. They don’t interfere too much with your work as long as you are doing it ok. Yes the pay can be a little better and I wish there are at least some benefits.
I worked as contractor with Atos and was very happy with my stint there. They allowed me to work my way which was great. I learnt a lot in the job due to this as I was free to do any improvement in the project that I saw fit. The pay was the reason why I did not go back to them after two stints; it is quite below the market and they do not offer any incentives to people who go the extra mile in their job.
Having worked as a contractor with Atos, my advice to anyone thinking about joining the company is that, don’t. They will overwork you and pay below industry minimum. You will be with them for years but won’t see any change in your pay structure. There is no review system in place and no benefits worth speaking off!
