| Description | Covestic is currently seeking a Security Engineer to support our Operations Security team. Responsibilities include: Responsible for the health and reliability of an Enterprise Scale Implementation of Tripwire Enterprise 8.0 Evaluation and placement of new Tripwire agents based on data center location and Tripwire Enterprise engineering and licensing designs Daily tasks include: Identifying that all backups have taken place Troubleshoot Tripwire agent health and ensure that Tripwire agents are deployed to all assets in scope for monitoring Examination of Tripwire tasks to make sure that tasks are running and completing on time Evaluation of Tripwire rules to identify any that require adjustment with recommendations on potential changes Evaluation of SQL Database performance supporting the Tripwire Enterprise Consoles Evaluating that Tripwire DataMart is working properly (ETL jobs are completing) Support the Operations Security team by providing consultative analysis on SQL Server security Monitor systems for potential threats and act as a first responder during active security incidents Assist Security Engineers in data analysis and security tool tuning Develop and refine reports developed in SQL Server Reporting Services Requirements: 4+ years experience in security engineering MS SQL - SQL syntax and implementation Experience of database optimization using profilers, query analyzers and query plans SQL Server Reporting Services Data Security, Backup, & Recovery Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 experience Active Directory preferred Scripting (Powershell) preferred. Security Concepts Basic Networking Concepts Tripwire experience or knowledge a plus. | |
