    Description Covestic is currently seeking a Network Engineer to support our operations team.The Network Engineer plans, designs and implements local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols. Working with internal customers,the Network Engineer will support/troubleshoot network issues and coordinate with vendors for installation of such items as routers and switches. Responsibilities: Support/troubleshoot network issues and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers and switches. Participate in project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons. Analyze network and system performance using both automated tools and manual analysis. Identify areas of concern and formulates action plans. Document systems, including configuration, serial numbers, and software versions. Install and upgrade devices that are part of global network*and security infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, terminal servers, and VPN concentrators. Assist senior network engineers in managing ticket queue of LAN, WAN, and security incidents and change requests. Partner with Senior Engineers in providing key operating metrics data to management. Participate in project implementation. Requirements: 4+ years of experience working with OSI layers 1-4 and associated equipment, Internet protocols and operation, networking management tools and software. Expertise configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Router IOS and Cisco Switch OS. Extensive experience working with Layer 4-7 Load Balancer, such as Cisco ACE/CSS, CITRIX, F5BigIP, or equivalent technology. Extensive experience with enterprise-level networking with knowledge in TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF and BGPv4, etc.), and SNMP. Detailed knowledge of firewall, VPN, and proxy technology, design, deployment, and support. 2+ years of experience working with user-level UNIX (any flavor), providing Tier 2 or higher support for networking and security infrastructure. CCNP*OR equivalent industry and/or business networking experience.
