Description | Q Analysts is looking for a Marketing Database Analyst for one of its clients located in Seattle, Washington Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Marketing Database Analyst to support the global marketing organizations initiatives and campaigns. Our client has a data-driven culture and global marketing needs business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable. This role will deliver reporting and extract requests, support the design and automation of new reports and dashboards, and manage the data request process for global marketing. Learn and understand a broad range of clients data resources and know when, how, and which to use. Train marketing users to help simplify the self-service support for secondary datasets. Continuously dive deep and seek new opportunities to improve campaign contribution to revenue. Job Responsibility: Write high-quality code to deliver reporting and extract requests with multiple criteria and complex segmentation for the global marketing organization. Simplify the data request process, establish SLAs, and enable marketing to self-serve on frequently requested reports. Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation. Facilitate meetings with marketing stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business analytical needs. Collaborate with the business intelligence team to scope/rollout optimal structures for marketing databases to support global marketing initiatives. Contribute to global data strategies that support marketing automation initiatives (scoring, nurturing, triggering, gating, etc.) and cross-CRM-marketing automation initiatives (lead/contact cleansing, data normalization, data dictionaries, master-slave models, etc.). Minimum Required Skills: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Statistics, or Mathematics or related field 4+ years relevant experience in one of the following areas: Marketing, Database Marketing, Marketing Operations, or other analytical function. Advanced SQL programming skills and experience working with large databases Experience with BI reporting tools, such as Oracle BI Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) Experience with marketing automation (Marketo) and CRM (Salesforce.com). Highly advanced Excel skills, strong problem-solving and technical aptitude, and a passion for using data and insights to drive future decisions Campaign execution and project management experience. Subject matter expert in the successful operations of demand generation marketing programs leveraging customer data. Experience with experimental design (e.g. A/B and multivariate testing) Knowledge of Omniture web analytics Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Agile development practices, particularly sprint planning and assessment Proficiency with CRM Fusion Demand Tools Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets. Knowledge of emerging cloud-based data quality and data enhancement tools a plus. | |
