Description | The architect will be a member of our clients Developer Program backend architecture and development team. This position will have responsibilities in the design, development and sustainment of the Clients Developer Program web portal. Candidate must have the ability to work in a very fast paced and often ambiguous environment with a group of developers and testers with a similar focus. Ability to react to changes in schedule, scope and urgent requests is a must. Ideal candidate will possess experience working in an iterative development environment and will be very familiar with the entire SDLC process. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Development of code using Java/JSP, CSS, JavaScript and relevant coding standards Application design, support and sustainment, including production support Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation which supports environment, architecture and development activities Develop unit test framework and execute unit tests on delivered code Contribute to requirements, architecture and technical design deliverables Develop accurate coding level of effort estimates and manage task schedules Design and development of interfaces with various third party and internal sources. Good communication skills and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to business teams Understand consumer customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions, and suggest innovative solutions to business problems Interact well with other technical team members (architects, testers, analysts, and project/release managers) in a team-oriented fashion, providing direction and mentoring to junior developers. Required Qualifications: 8 years of experience in design, analysis, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of web-based client-server applications. 8 years experience with Java, J2EE, Servlets, JSP. 6 years experience with WebLogic, CSS and HTML & XML. 4 years experience working with database systems, preferably Oracle and Postgres Ability to work in Unix, Linux and Windows environment. Ability to work efficiently and effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment Strong knowledge of Struts / Spring MVC Desired Qualifications: BS degree in Engineering, Information Systems or related technical field 4 years experience with content administration systems in a java environment. SSO experience, search integration, webtrends integration, performance tuning and testing. Experience with website security and vulnerabilities Ability to function efficiently using source code control in git, CVS or SVN. Eclipse IDE is preferred. Preference will be given to candidate possessing strong background in content management. Please note, relocation expenses are not available for this position | |
