SAP BW and DBA Manager

Our client is a leader in SAP technology where their landscape includes the latest Netweaver, Portals, and CRM technologies. This is an exciting and demanding opportunity where you will be working very closely with a savvy business group.

Our Seattle based client is looking to staff an SAP BW and DBA Manager. This person will be integral in the maintenance and enhancement of the SAP BW landscape and administration of their databases (SQL Server & Oracle), both new and legacy. With approximately 12 full time resources under your direction you will provide coaching, direction and leadership support in order to achieve employee, business and customer results. This will include performance reviews and hiring for future staffing needs.

The organization has made a significant commitment to continue the growth and expansions of their SAP BW solution as well as their instances of SQL Server and Oracle. The SAP BW and DBA Manager will be responsible for leading the analysis, design, development, implementation, of this and support of other BW/BI solutions. You will also be tasked with working with business users and managers to understand requirements and articulate solutions. The ideal candidate would have direct experience with SAP in leading design and code reviews for all BW/BI development and participating in development and testing of BW (InfoObjects, Data and Info Sources, ODS, InfoCubes, Infosets, APDs, etc.) and data extractors. As a leader of the DBA group we are also looking for a candidate who has prior database administration experience with either SQL Server or Oracle.

To qualify as the SAP BW and DBA Manager we require the following skills:
* At least 5 years of management experience overseeing an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment. You will need to have excellent communication skills to collaborate with users and develop system documentation.
* SAP BW / BI Development experience
* At least 5 years experience with database design, data modeler, and optimization.
* Background in database administration with either SQL Server or Oracle.
* Prior leadership experience and proven examples of enabling individuals in teamwork and a collaborative environment that meets customer needs
* The ability to manage multiple projects, including scheduling, resource allocation and budgets

Highly desired:
* Project Management, PMI certification
